997.1 Turbo Shift light Install

I have looked an haven't been able to find any definitive answer. On the 997.1 turbo, can the light be tapped into the OBD II port under the foot well, or does it need to be tapped in near the ecu.

you should be able to get rpm from either location.

Thanks, now if I can find an easy way to access the OBD II port I'll be set!

How about a "shift beep" ... like the beep when you set a speed limit ?
