The car came set up with this very nice suspension. However, after figuring out that a noise I am getting from one of the external canisters is likely due to it needing a very well over due servicing I'm at one of those decision places again.
From what I am told I will need to have these shocks serviced every 3 years and that is mostly using the car as a DD which I plan to do. I can do a few things on these cars like bleed brake fluid, change break pads and put the car up on jack stands but I have never removed and replaced a suspension and at the moment I am not wanting to pay a shop to do this as well as pay a likely $1,000 for servicing and that does not include if any parts are needed or the shipping.
So I am wondering if this is the time to have the shocks serviced and sell them and buy a pss10 or similar or even a set of used stock shocks because some are using the TPC or DSC , can't recall the name ? of flash to the oem shocks to make them better.
At the moment the shock button is not connected but the prior owner had pss10 with pasm I think.
Or, should I just keep using these shocks after I get them serviced? The maintinence side of things is what is bothering me. For my application at this time I think they are over kill. Not to mention I still have to figure out where to mount the rear canisters and even properly mount the front cans. Right now the rear just sit on the back seats.

it cost me 850$ to rebuild all 4 of my jrz coilovers. considering they cost 5000$ new i can rebuild every 3 yrs for the next 15 yrs for the same cost! if you buy cheapo street coilovers they typically arent worth rebuilding and your not going to be happy in the end.
keep them, mount the cans under the carpet in the back or on a bar if you have that. on the back shelf for quick access is also an option fronts can go in the frunk on each side out of the way

That's a good opinion. Had not thought about mounting under the carpet in the back. Assuming the foot well for rear passengers.
Anyone know of a quality place to rebuild in San Antonio or near by? Lex gave me a suggestion in NY and Moton USA a suggestion in North TX.
Would be nice to take it to a place who can remove, service and re-install and fast is always nice.
i have driven a b16 equipped 997 turbo.. it felt great
one thing i miss about changing from pasm to ohlins is that you loose pasm.. clicking that button and totally stiffening up the ride was a nice solution.
i would get the b16's and dsc
the dampening quality of my shocks is far superior to the bilsteins though.. my shocks do not fade in performance when hot not to mention they absorb bumps amazingly well.

And the DSC is what really improves that set up. Agree on loosing PASM with the current set up.
