997 turbo fuel pump

Hey fellas,

Looking for some input. Was out driving my car just before I left to come back here to work overseas.. and I dropped home for a min then got back in my car.. started it.. it was boggy then I turned it off in my car elevator and went to start it again to back out it gurgled and stalled then no start... ive checked the fuel pump relay and fuses both are fine. with the 997tt having two fuels pumps its usually one or the other failed.. and you can get one or the other to go by pulling fuses to check them.. anyways ive done everything and it seems there is nothing from my fuel pumps. I know with the 996 turbos they had the issues of the fuel lines bursting inside the tank, so the pumps just pump into the tank again.

Im wondering if I should just order a fuel pump assembly to install when I get home, as I find it odd for both fuel pumps to fail just as quick as that.

Anyone have any situations of failing fuel pumps on the 997turbos ? I cant seem to find many instances of it, especially in my type of situation.

Cheers
C.
