reliability on clutch slave, oem vs aftermarket?

thank you again for many information/help.
i am actually ok with stock clutch feeling(997tt is daily driver in LA traffic), but in terms of reliability, should I stick with OEM replacement or after market clutch slave(like BBI or EVOMs)?
afraid my OEM is giving out after 10yrs(although car has only 13k miles, doubled mileage from 6k to 13k over 1yr since i got the car, hahaha).
any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Based on what I have read, you have four general choices:

1. Keep the stock setup and repair when necessary
2. When the stock fails, replace it with an alternative
3. Replace the stock when you drop the transmission for the clutch, assuming your clutch disk or pressure plate is what is causing your clutch concerns (does your engine spin out or die if you try and start in 6th gear?), if you are just anticipating a problem you can ignore this one.
4. Replace the stock before you need a new clutch

When I say clutch, I only mean the hydraulics involved in pushing the clutch assembly, not the pressure plate and clutch disk themselves.

It's not a matter of "if" but "when" for the stock clutch. Others can give you their impression of the options they have used (I am still on the stock clutch, but will be gong with a GT2 setup eventually).

Thanks for the reply.

just a back ground, it all started with weird sound coming l when i start the car(esp with turning the wheels), found out that my steering reservoir(in engine) was empty, lift the car up, puddle of oil in driver side underpanel, noticed that it was dripping from above-clutch reservoir, have feeling that my clutch slave is bad and need to replaced(but really hoping it is just a faulty cap). Refilled the pentosin in steering reservoir(in engine), drives like normal, put rags around the clutch reservoir to see if it leaks again, so far, 50miles without any overflow.

I think I need to replace the clutch slave in very near future but want something that's realiable, just wondering what other people's experiences are.
thank you.

Sounds like you clutch slave is already failed. A faulty slave causes fluid migration from the steering reservoir towards the clutch reservoir and this excess of fluid push the cap off the reservoir. This could cause a problem with your hidraulic steering wheel as well.

It happened to me a month ago, my steering reservoir fluid was low, and the front reservoir cap was leaking and loose. I replaced with a new slave cylinder ( PN # 99611623752 ) and a new cap ( PN #993-423-817-00 ) - take a look at your cap, and make sure it isn't loose or expanded. It may cause another leak, since you are refilling fluid, and as you know, hidraulic fluid is VERY inflamable.

Back from the dead*

Something I'm experiencing presently: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post4807974

Today I discovered the following:

Couple of things I noticed snooping around today:

Ps reservoir was full, but I noticed pressure had built up when I unscrewed the cap to check level.

Clutch master reservoir was empty & residual pentosin fluid is prevalent in the galley. Cap for reservoir won't go back on like it has deformed. I'm wonder if cap was loose to begin with and as I drove the car from Jan till now... the loose cap caused fluid to leak out and eventually cause the tank to become empty?
