Oils Viscosity
Hi Guys
Got a question about the different weights of oil to use.
Porsche recommends 0-40 Mobile 1 or if it’s Shell Ultra 5-40 however my mechanic who used to be my Mechanic at the Porsche dealer and is now Indi used Shell Ultra Racing 10-60W.
Is this too thick? Thoughts on this as I would think it is.
It does sound louder for a second after a cold start after a couple of days..

And what part of the country are you located (or intend to drive in)?
If you are like most and will be driving spring/summer/fall only, I would recommend Kevin at UMW's mix of 0-50 / 5-50 Redline. Redline is a top oil, fully synthetic and holds up well in a variety of conditions.
