Looking over a Cayenne for possible purchase that has a drooping headliner. Had a very reasonable quote from a local upholstery shop for $500 + material. Trouble is, upholstery shop says manufacturer quit making Alcantara a few years ago. They may have an alternative that's a close match, but even the alternate material is back-ordered in black. If this is true, what is everybody using as an alternative to Alcantara for headliners in Cayennes?

 

Car flunked PPI, leaking rear main seal. When I told dealer we were going to pass he said: "...I just spoke with our service mgr. and we just did the rear main seal..."
Still interested in headliner options as I'm seeing lots of used Cayennes having the same issues lately.

 

If rear main seal repair isn’t done properly the new seal will leak…if the dealer didn’t clean up the evidence of a previous leak it will fail ppi
