Bose Amp
I have a 2017 958 just bought it came with no Bose Amp The orginal had got wet
I installed a new Porsche supplied part
Only front door Bass speakers work
I have checked everthing even powered speakers from the Bose Amp plug at the rear
To a pioneer radio i mounted in the boot all work fine I think it needs coding
But my Porsche dealer says No it does not
I just need a definite from someone does the amp need coding
He says No because the front door Bass speakers work but these amps are software driven

Sorry, I browse here too infrequently. My experience is that you need coding. Ours got wet. Replaced with same part number. Only the left side worked. Got very lucky and found a tech to code it after work for $40. I had heard they charge an hour to do it. 15 minutes. Hope this isn't too late to help.
