Jump starting a 2026 Vantage Roadster dead battery

Heads up for new 2026 Vantage Roadster owners:

I just took delivery of my pre owned ’26 Vantage Roadster (3,600 miles on it), and after recently dealing with a dead battery on my son’s car, I decided to look into how to jump mine if needed.

Turns out the positive terminal is under a plastic cover in the engine bay—but it’s secured with two star (Torx) screws. The car doesn’t come with that tool, which could be a problem if you’re stuck with a dead battery.

I picked up a small bit kit from Lowes, and it works perfectly to remove the cover. I now keep it in the trunk with the tire kit just in case.

Might be worth grabbing one so you’re not stuck in a bad situation. Hope this helps.

And if I could suggest - along with the torx driver you have stored, add a 10mm box wrench. The 10mm box wrench will "wrench a whole lot of little things in the car, but more importantly here, the battery terminals take a 10mm.

To get to the battery, the rear seat is fastened by two torx screws. Not sure if it is the same torx size, but if you're lucky, it will be the same.

BTW, on my DB11, that same place where you found the covered main terminal in the engine compartment for jump starting is the very place where I keep my car on a Ctek maintainer. I have the Ctek terminal ring option permanently attached to the main + and the prescribed ground to make plug in easy w/o removing the plastic cover which, in the case of the DB11 is just clipped on and not fastened with screws.
