Will Ruf replace the RT12 with a version of the 997TT.

 

I am sure they will live side by side.

Or if they could put the 997TT engine in the RT12 instead of the 996TT...at RUF anything's possible

 

RUF already has a 997TT RT12 car out. Been here for a few months now. The RTurbo is based on the 996TT.

The RT12 has the 996TT engine, but in the 997 body (somewhat RUFalised).

I think the question was if the 997TT will replace the current RT12 concept.

 

Ah, I see. Sorry for the confusion.

 

If they will, it would probably not come out untill 2007 at the earliest.

 

What will happen is that the RT12 will evolve, its a Ruf philosophy, just look at the 996 R turbo. From the original "MN RT 330" license plated car with the front "whisker" spoiler and 520bhp, to "MN RT 355" with 600bhp+.

I know that Ruf are definetely going to be looking into the new turbo tech.
