waiting for the V10 R8 is not being realistic. why wait when u can get one to drive now? the price point for the current R8 is on the high side already i can't imagine after all the goodies how much the V10 R8 will be. i'm certainly not interested in a 160k audi. also i doubt the performance fiures will be far from the curent Gallardo.

daily driver, can't beat CL63. R8 is the best in the group but u can't get it at sticker now. forget about DB9 unless u're talking about DBS. i'd take a Vangage over DB9 since i think the V8 is a better made car. DB9 is old & does not age very well.

you make a good point but i keep reading that audi is thinking of doing either a V10 or V12 twin turbo diesel in the hotter R8....that would be pretty sick IMO. apparently, the rumor is that they are going to try and leverage their racing success with TT diesels into the road car.

it's hot already. the hotter the better. but the problem is if i want a car yesteryear i'm not gonna wait til yesterday to buy one. today is too late already!!! Audi can make whatever hot **** & cake they want to but they can't pass R8's little brother from a different mother. sorry but the fact is they're bonded together. that's the fact. rumor is what keeps internet forum entertaining.

DB9 -if you're a girl.
Otherwise CL63 -it's entirely different than your new CL550 (I had one also). Re-map, new highflow filters, cross-over exhaust pipe, have fun. R8 is nice, but really more 'flavor of the month' until the '10' comes out -of course, then they'll be priced equal to an '07 Gallardo

I don't know which one is good for...
performance & everyday driving & value & maintance...

please help me out!!!
I would go for the Aston V8 Vantage. It's a great driving car.

If you really wanted a bigger Aston, I'd go for the Aston DB9 with Sports Pack. The plain DB9 is a bit of a sluggish drive. The Sport Pack, with it's improved suspension, makes it a much better driver's car.

Before choosing my Morning Frost White Vantage coupe, I thought about the R8. The Vantage design is almost perfect. I can't say the same for the R8. It has some odd lines, and the sideblades seem a bit out-of-place, as if they were slapped to hide the fact that the car is rather long.

ya, but your car is slower than an R8.

See for yourself:

Aston V8 Vantage

Audi R8

Does one have a more appealing design?

When buying a car, you cannot only consider speed. You should buy a car that you will enjoy for a long time. Because even if you buy the fastest car in its segment, within a few years, another manufacturer will come out with an even faster car and so on and so on.

Thumbs up Cl 63

The CL 63 would be my choice, R8 only if I can have more power as i think its just to slow. The Aston will looks great but reliability is not good enough

of course, i was just kidding with you. everyone has their priorities and looks is one for you i understand that. if nothing else, the vantage is a stunning car. but for me personally, performance is the main priority so i can forgive cars that may not be as pretty.

at the end of the day, all that matters to me is the driving experience.
