How Long Does The Clutch Last In The Vantage?

Anyone know how long the clutch lasts in the AMV8's? I know there are two transmissions, Paddles & 6 Speed but I am looking to know how long each lasts?

For the paddles, does it last a long time such as a BMW SMG System 50K+ miles or is it like a Ferrari/Lamborghini System which lasts about 10K miles?

For the 6 Speed, is it like a sports car getting 50K+ or again like a Ferrari/Lamborghini getting 12K+?

I am really interested to know how practical this car is maintainence wise because if the clutches do not keep going in this car, it can be a nice alternative to the SL550/SL55.

Thanking you in advance

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think AM's sportshift is a computer clutch system like BMW's SMG. As far as clutch wear goes, I'm thinking you're going to get alot of different responses. IMHO, it really depends on how you drive, as it comes down more to driving style alot of the time.

Driving style would of course be a large determinant but with Ferrari or Lambos no matter what you do, you will rarely if never get a 20K or 30K mile life out of the clutch like say you could with a Corvette, Viper, or Porsche. My question was do they last like Ferrari/Lambo types or more like the Porsche/Corvette/Viper types.

Several V8V out there approaching 40K + miles and no clutch issues ... AM (at that time Ford) really put a big effort into making big changes for the brand. I only have 3500 Mi on mine but no issues.

I am also curious about this as well, however, with all makes I've had experience with you will hear both extremes on forums. Folks who drive very hard and get poor life out of wear items and those who baby their cars and have tremendously good luck.

That was my major concern. I was just wondering since this is a great daily car, if I would be changing clutches all the time if I were to seriously look into getting one.
