I've seen in Mercedes, when you leave your car, you just press the button on the door handle to lock the door. The car senses the keys in your pocket and locks it. When you walk to your car and pull the handle, again, the car sense your keys in pocket and opens the door. Pretty convenient that you never have to take out your keys. Is this option available on the Vantage? Or do you have to take out the key to lock and open door?

 

This option is not available on the Vantage. You must insert the key in the ignition to start the '06-'08 Vantage. Not sure about the '09 though.
