V8 Vantage or 911, Seeking Suggestions
Go with the Vantage. I have had multiples of both (currently on me second vantage SS, first one was 6 speed). I have had 911 C4S (996), 997S, and 997C4S. The Vantage is the superior car in my opinion.
Now mine Vantage is considerably modified (therein lies the fun); but a vantage is a hand built car. The interior is wall-to-wall leather, alcantera, and anodized aluminum. Look at the undercarriage; aluminum suspension, race-car like cross bracing, etc. Aluminum body, incrediable GT stance. near 50/50 weight distribution. The aston V8 sound is also far superior to the 911, in my opinion. Take one under an overpass or through a tunnel; and wind it out or down shift. The sound is completely intoxicating; nothing like it.
The 911 is world class, no doubt. Fit and finish unparalled and performance is fantastic. However, it is a volume produced vehicle, not hand built (I like the craftsmanship in the vantage), and certainly the Porsche is not as exclusive as the Aston Martin.
Depending on your taste, I would go as far to say that the Aston Martin is more rare than the Ferrari (at least where I live).
Finally, the Aston Martin Vantage design is flawless. There truly is not a bad view anywhere on the car (its only outranked in looks by the DBS). The Vantage is perfectly proportioned.
good luck.
