StuM- Very unfortunate to hear about your experience with the Aston's you've owned. The DBS is an amazing car.

You have some good taste. See that you are driving a BMW Z8 which IMO is an underrated car.

love the upgrades. Considering I leave no car alone, it sounds like some of the upgrades will be custom or race parts.

Sounds like I still need to do some research as I need to make sure if I get a Aston or other exotic I can drive it on a 1000 mile plus trip and not worry about it leaving me on the side of the road.

I've done plenty of 500-mile drives with no issues at all.

I did a 1,000+ mile trip in my early DB9 last year (most of it far from any AM dealer), and do 200-300 mile drives a few times a year.

Flawlessly reliable.

I have an 09 DBS with near 20k miles on it (bought it less than a year ago with 15k miles). Very reliable thus far. No electrical issues. Only minor issue is the once in a while "Emissions service" code - which I clear with an OBD scanner. Other minor issue is the fuel cap needs slight adjustment.
Other than that, it's a thrill to drive and I daily drive mine to work. Not the most powerful car, but the exhaust note is intoxicating. Still think it's the most gorgeous modern design on the planet.

It does sit rather nicely against that backdrop.
