Oil Viscosity, I know it has been asked bf but search not working...

I know factory recommended 10w-60 which can be purchased online or at BMW. I also know about the US dealers using 5w-30 castrol, has anyone used 5w-30 mobil 1. isn't mobil 1 better than castrol. I just have to add a couple quarts, my oil is low.

Aston Martin of Tysons Corner uses Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60 in the V8 Vantage models and Mobil 1 5W-50 in the other models
