Making the switch from a 996TT to a Vantage/DB9?

Looking to unload the 996TT here soon. I'm certainly going to miss the power, its very fast (600hp+) but lately I haven't had the time to really put all that power to use, and i'm looking to try something different.

Now that the Vantages and DB9s are in a good price range 60-80k i've been putting a lot of thought into both of them.

What are you guy's thoughts about either of those cars? I've daily driven the 996TT for a while now and it's been fine, doesn't bother me, but I would like to get something slightly more luxurious and classy looking.

Thoughts, comments?

I just replaced my '07 997 turbo with an '09 Vantage and could not be happier (so far). Obviously you will notice the lack of hp that your turbo has, but you won't care. When you have the pedal matted, the sound that emits from the Aston puts a smile on your face immediately and really it is no slouch, just not as powerful as the turbo...but no LAG!!!! It is truly a classy ride and the interior is beautiful. I say find one to drive and then you will know if it is for you.

I was in a similar boat a few years back with a modified Turbo that wasn't being used even close to it's abilities. While I liked the Vantage looks, after the test drive I came away thinking I'd rather keep the Turbo. The Vantage has since been improved with more HP plus other things. I decided to try the DB9 and was thrilled with the V12 HP/Torque and had always lusted after one from the DB7 platform in the mid 90's. While it's not the sports car the Porsche was, and I didn't expect it to be, it's different and that's what I wanted. Astons are beautiful cars first & foremost and they are likely to need more service than Porsche. You will be rewarded with a fairly rare car and one that is as much a work of art as anything.

M13 is infamous around these parts
Very different cars... You need to test at least 2 test drives in various conditions to delve into the differences. Loads of opinions on this topic if you sniff around the forum.
