Just got my 07 out of the shop with the same problem. Something metal cracked and all of the freon leaked out. Probably from the heat. They rewelded the part. Sorry, I don't know the specifics beyond that. $2700 repair. Works great now.

Found the work order. "Found high side line at compressor leaking at the weld. Removed line and rewelded." 7 hours of work.

Oops. I lied on the cost. It was $780.56

There are a couple of possibilities that come to mind;

1) The circulating fan may not be operating. You should be able to hear it operate. Check the fuse?

2) As you are in a "dusty" environment, it is possible that your cabin air filters are plugged, restricting the air flow. If they haven't been replaced during previous services (and as you indicate the a/c system pressures are not indicating a lack of refrigerant), you might inspect/change these filters. They are difficult to locate/access.

3) If 1 and 2 are ok, then the servo which operates the damper which directs air flow to the various outlets may have failed in a position preventing air flow?

4) The automatic temperature control module may have failed in a condition that says "no cooling needed"?

Some of these suggestions are easy to check...

Good luck

I would like to think that your dealer would handle your problem promptly, once notified of the issue. Some repairs (namely replacement of the cabin air filters) would be charged to you as normal maintenance, but problems with fans, electronic controls, etc. (if present) should be covered under the warranty; charged to Aston Martin, not yourself.

After my three year service was complete, my local dealer provided me with a "vehicle maintenance sheet" (PN 703089) detailing what inspections/services were done; this sheet included a "Tyre wear report".

Your owners manual also has a maintenance shedule which goes 3 years (and beyond) servicing requirements; it should help you understand what's required.

I would be up front with the dealer regarding your desire to obtain the extended warranty, and the required inspection.

I received a separate "Aston Martin Approved Multi-Point Inspection Certificate" (appx. 11"x14" - PN 702095 - 3 part carbonless; white to Customer, Yellow to Dealer, and Pink to AM Warranty Department). It contained a 140 item checklist; item #64 was a/c leak check; #85 was a/c controls; #122 was H.V.A.C. performance. Your a/c should operate correctly before the dealer would issue the certificate for the extended warranty.

It's up to you to negociate who pays for the extended warranty inspection. I have heard of dealers charging extra to do it; I also have heard that it would be "included" in the annual service at no charge, if requested (as was in my case).

I got going about maintenance items here, rather than in your other post about the 10k service; it was easier to stay in one place.
