Same here, we have a 2010, yet have to put in a CD. I listen to AM radio if I get stuck in traffic. Have B&O in another car, might have listen to CDs a few times. That was it. I have a short commute, I just want to enjoy the car.

I agree. I've got a 2002, so it has the Bose at least (I've heard 2001 tt was much worse). It's got plenty of bass and power to be heard clearly at fast speeds with windows down, but fidelity and overall acustics are certainly lacking. In fact, I think the Bose in my 04 G35 Coupe is a much better sound system than the Porsche with 3-4x the sticker price. But, I didn't buy the Porsche for interior amenities, I bougth it to get well over 500 horsepower on a low mile, reliable car for under $60k after mods. Still, given how great the Aston exhaust sounds, I'm not sure I"ll be able to utilize it's stereo either when I eventually get one.

My girlfriend calls me wierd for this behanvior. Glad I fit right in here .

OKB is infamous around these parts
I have a 04 Carrera 4S and I put a hi $ system in it. But knowing the high noise level from the start, I decided to try some sound deadening material as I was installing everything. I covered almost everything that was accessable under the carpet from the front floor to the rear and rear seat area and up to the top of the rear shelf. I used Tsunami thick black urethane material which is what porsche used origionally on their sparse few pieces they apply. And it reduced the noise level by 1/2 . It is very pleasing. I would recommend giving this a shot on the AM if youre into creating more comfortable surroundings.
