New AM Owner
New AM Owner
Let me start by saying thanks to all your comments I was able to learn enough about the car to pull the trigger... Its been my dream car for a few years (granted my life is probably shorter than the average AM owner so few years is not really that much; only 26 yo but definitely not paid for by "daddy" which makes me feel good)
Anyway, Last week I picked up a 2008 AM Vantage V8 Coupe Sportshift with 7,000 miles - perfect service records (everything done through Aston Martin dealership religiously) and mint condition - inspected it 7 ways from sunday) The car already had all sorts of factory based options (heated seats, ipod adapter, premium sound, and many others) as well as the famous Aston Martin sports package AND the Aston Martin Power Upgrade
Pretty sure the dealership didnt know what they had in their hands because I feel I got a complete steal - took me 4 days to negotiate but all in ended up paying about 77K
In any case, I just added the clear taillights (only thing that was missing for me)
Thanks again guys for all the posts

you need to pull the fuse 22 out and then buy a nex exhaust. You will love the car even more.
All with time, Im thinking next year my wife will have forgotten the 80K car and 2k tail lights... by then I will start thinking again...
In any case, I will be buying the Armor All Wheel Protectant which according to the forum over in AMOC is incredible for keeping brake dust off the wheels

Grats and welcome to the club!As a younger AM driver, I notice that people's reactions are different when I keep my beard (hard working young professional), and when I go with a clean shaven look (yes, looks like daddy paid). Not that I care what people think, but people's reactions are facinating. Feel free to share the experience after you spend a few weeks with your new ride.
