It hasnt been updated in over 5 years.

Compare its to Porsche or even Chevrolet and its horrific and embarrasing

its shocking for a brand like this.

Wonder why they dont update it

I don't wonder at all. Just take a look at the car. I think it is safe to say the Brits are a little slow to embrace technology. I miss a lot of the features of my Corvette. I still love my Vantage.

Honestly, I took a look at the site and don't see any problem with it.

Neither do I. It is updated all the time. They do have a car configurator as well. Keep in mind Aston Martin is a much much smaller company than Chevy or Porsche, so obviously their website is going to have less invested in it. I'd say it's comparable or better than the websites for Ferrari and Lambo.

Dont find it that bad either. Think its alright. Any way I bought the car, not the website, and mighty happy with that.

Go to any other comparable car website (bentley, Porsche, rolls, Land Rover etc etc) - play around a little, try and build a car, see it in different colors, look at the pics and the size of them and then let me know your thoughts.

I love AM but the site does not go with the price.

Just my opinion.

Honestly I just don't see it. It's a car company, not a online web-based business. That said, it is comparable with those other companies to my eye, even though those are much larger companies which sell much more cars per year. Even Bentley, which is obviously owned by VW, sells more than twice as many cars annually as AM.

So what do you want?
- Pictures? Check. Did you click on the (+) buttons to scroll pages?
- 3D car configurator? Check. And it works well.
- Racing news and updates? Check.
- Online store with tons of branded items? Check.
- Detailed V8 microsite with clickable details on all of the upgrades for the 4.7 including engine 3D diagrams? Check.

I don't know what you mean by "the site does go with the price." It's not supposed to simulate ownership...just give you the main selling points. Go drive the car and then buy one if you like it. It's meant to be driven, not surfed.

In my opinion, the only time when people spend a relatively substantial amount of time on a manufactures website is when they are deciding on purchasing a car. Given the overall purchase experience, for the cheapest car with a base price of 100K+, the website does not fit the caliber of the car. Did the website have any true effect on the purchase of my car? Absolutely not. Is their website behind their competition? Absolutely. The website meets the status quo, while an Aston Martin does not – it’s just not aligned.

You are spot on. All AM models are simply elegant and timeless moving sculpture. They did a great job in create that beauty thru their branded showroom exterior ad interior architecture. The site is not great, but it wouldn’t stop anyone potential customer. I was very impress by Audi purchasing experience, they provide a more personal touch to make their customer feel special. I know it is all marketing, but they does a good job. That said, AM is tiny compare to Audi. And we are very happy with our vantage.

Aston runs a thin organization.

No doubt their depressed volume, about 5000 cars this year down from 7000 in 07, is taking its toll. A knowledeable AM dealer employee counted and named on his fingers the total corporate personnel in Aston's North American sales activity. He did not need all his fingers. Two years ago this fall AM had 1800 heads total, including 600 agency. Later that year a press release announced a 600 head reduction, including 300 agency. This year, my same dealer source says many more bit the dust. If true, Aston, at just over a thousand, is designing, engineering, developing, manufacturing, upgrading and selling not only a significant array of sporty cars, but expanding, Rapide, Cygnet, 1-77, and stillborne Lagonda SUV. We should be amazed. Further, Dr Bez says, AM is making money, a real profit. Give that man a medal and cut their website a little slack.

I have no issue w/ AM web site either - they are not selling video games - AM is better than my company and we are a very high tech engineering/desogn company w/ sales at $25B ! As for market decline - Porsche - as an example - the SUV and 4-door are saving their *** ... ouch ... sales figures are below 50% year vs. year !

There are many ways for them to improve and change the site with very little cost compare to other marketing efforts. I am sure they will get around to it.
