Would You Buy?

Would you buy a vantage that was turned in after a 3 yr lease with 8K miles and no records of maintenance history? Warranty repairs were very minimal.

Your thoughts please,

It would be nice to know at least the oil was changed, but even if it weren't, that would not scare me off.

I guess I should be more specific. Does the fact it was a lease concern you? The maintenance thing is secondary.

Hmmm, if there were no oil changes in the first three years I would stay away.

Get a dealer to do an inspection and have the car certified for extended warranty. If it passes, insist that the seller pay for the extended warranty based on the lack of maintenance. If not, there are plenty of fish in the sea.

Some people treat a lease car as they would one they buy. I guess it's a dealer selling but you didn't say if it's at an A-M dealer. Obviously a PPI would be in order and the price would have to be very right. No reason to think the car is bad but you have to do your dilligence.

That....and the PPI should be good to go if the cost/value equation works for you.
