inthemarket is infamous around these parts
Great choice!

My parents had an '08 and it had some ridiculous power off the line. The tires chirped when manually shifting from gears 1 through 3! Stock up on rear tires as they will go very quickly

I think I have you beat. My DD is an X6M. I think I average about 9 mpg, so I know how you feel. I drove the V12 for about 100 miles the last 2 days and the average mileage was 7.5. It's not broken in yet, so hopefully I'll get into double digits eventually. By the way, my 4.3 was modified and I think I was pretty close to the X6 so I'm sure your AM will answer your MB. I have resisted the urge to modify my DD because frankly I don't want another car with MPG in single digits.

That's a great idea, I would love to pick up 3-4 mpg. It would make a huge difference when you're only getting 12. By the way, after I modded my 4.3, I did get better mileage. I think a I went from about 14 to 17 so that's a good call. Make sure you get the sports air filters. They give you a couple of HP but the car sounds better and I felt like that's when I noticed the better mpg. I'm looking forward to seeing your dyno at the end of the project. Did you give any thoughts to forced induction? I'd love to hear from someone who has used the RSC supercharger.

Mine were actually K&N that were made for a motorcycle. They fit but only just. The RSC's are the way to go. I believe they are better.
