DB9 - power window question

Guys, I'm new to the forum. Recently purchased a 2008 DB9. My first AM and to say that I love it would be an understatement....I'll post a picture when I figure out how to do so.

Any help with the following "problem" is much appreciated: with one click my windows roll down (without holding the button), but in order to close the windows I must hold the button down as the window goes up. In other words, the window does not automatically go up with just a click of the button. Is that correct? Am I missing some preference/adjustment in one of the menus?

Thank you for any help.

You are not missing anything; Federal safety regulations several years ago removed the "auto up" feature on windows as a result of children (& adults?) getting their heads caught in windows while looking out while inadvertently activating the up button...

Your car must be equipped with an "automatic reversal system" which prevents a closing force of greater than 100 newtons . See §571.118 Standard No. 118; Power-operated window, partition, and roof panel systems, Federal DOT regulations.

There is more information at http://www.iihs.org/iihs/topics/t/ch...d-child-safety
if anyone is interested.
