New Owner Introduction

Hey folks,

Just wanted to say hi. I have been lurking on the 6speed forum for the past few weeks trying to get a feel for what's going on. I have also been a Pistonheads forum member since they first started.

I live in Melbourne, FL and have been an Esprit owner for a long time. Back in the mid 90s when the Internet was first being born, I created a website called the Esprit Fact File to help share information for owners and those contemplating ownership. Eventually, Lotus Cars, Ltd. in England took notice of my site and started feeding me information to provide our readers. Later I was told that the factory and US distributorship (Lotus Cars USA) were using my website as a resource to look up information on models, because it was quicker than trying to dig through old books. However, in recent years I have neglected my site a bit as my schedule has prevented me from dedicating as much time as is needed. Luckily, other excellent sites have come up to provide more current information.

It was always my dream to own the two primary James Bond car marques and recently I fulfilled that dream when I purchased a tungsten V8 Vantage from my local dealer in Orlando.

I have already learned quite a bit by going through the recent discussions and I'm sure to have many questions in the weeks to come.

I'll start off with my first question:

In the Lotus world we have a few independent authorized parts vendors from which we can order any factory parts without having to go through the dealer. They are a great resource for some of us do-it-yourselfers that may want to get genuine parts for our cars. Is there something similar in the Aston world and if so, who are they?

Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately, I know of no such vendors. That said, this does not mean that they don't exist.
