In the end, I told myself to get the color you want if you are spending this kind of money--so I got Tungsten Silver
I don't think prices have bottomed at all...they are creeping up for summer though, that I agree with. If you look at the price of an 03 db7 vantage, which were much more expensive to begin with, you can get those for mid 40's in great shape. Or even compare with a 2004 996 GT3, which can be had for mid-50's and those cars are known for not having high depreciation (relatively speaking). A 2007 997 GT3 which was almost exactly the same price new as a Vantage is still in the high 70's whereas an 07 Vantage is in the high 60's for the same vintage.

I think retail for '07 Vantages is more in the 70's mid to high.

agreed, that's where you see the most 'clustering'. The same would apply for the 997 GT3 being in the low 80's, but I'm looking more at the 'good deal' kind of cars that spring up, that are probably more indicative of what people *actually* pay, because very people actually pay the price that's listed for a used car. I remember seeing an 07 for 64 last year, which is obviously an outlier, but the lowest I've seen an 07 GT3 (without a lot of miles) is from a guy on teamspeed who's selling it for 73. Regardless, I'd be willing to bet that we'd see vantage's in the 50's within two years. One car who's depreciation I can't understand (because there is hardly any) is the R8. Those things hold value like crazy.

What has happened with the V8 Audi R8 is that Audi now makes them with the V12 too, which is bringing (holding) the price of the V8 R8. The Vantage is the same now with the V12 bringing (holding) the price of the V8 Vantage. Just look at the 2009-2010 V8's still holding above $100k. And because of that, the 2006-2008 V8 Vantage prices are pulling up in the $70's retail, high $60's wholesale

yeah, I imagine that could be true. I suppose the prices take a dip again after the new model is released....is that 2014?

Nice looking car, and with the Power Upgrade too! Where did you get the carpet mats? I like 'em.
