happened a month ago. guy threw his Explorer into reverse and went right into my front end. i jumped out and took a pic of his license plate. he gets out and says, "oh, i didn't even look behind me" and left it at that. it's currently at Magnum Collision in Marietta (AM told me to send it there). i should have it back in a couple weeks. by the time i get it back, it will have been in a shop getting fixed for the same amount of time that i was able to enjoy it.

don't mean to threadjack, so if anyone has any experience with dealing with this sort of thing (loss of value and whatnot), please shoot me a PM.

Telum that is horrible...I hate going to parking lots, in fact most incidents and minor fender benders occur in busy parking lots...they are scary places to be., In the past I have parked my DD in a busy lot around lunch time, went in to get a sandwich total time 7 mins. Came back out and fender damaged, no note. nothing...just blatent disregard for someone elses property... I will only drive nice cars in parking lots I am familiar with and where I know the traffic patterns, crowd type etc...

 

I haven't been able to up-load my shots... the site keeps on saying that the file is too big... At least my "avatar" is now larger.

 

Sorry to hear that telum. Magnum is the best though. I'm sure she'll come back looking as good as new.

 

Magnum, I would suggest keeping a detailed record of the damage and repairs made and you should be fine. But if youre concerned, contact a lawyer and talk to him about dimished value on your car.

 

I have dealt with Magnum several times over the years. They do Excellent work, but I will say that when they tell you the car is ready, do not plan on taking it home that day.

Do not accept the car until they have made it the way you want it, of course, this goes with any body shop.
