What's the best way to replace the chrome window trim with a painted version? Are there replacement trims sold out there? I've seen several vehicles modified.

 

I had mine done with a custom wrap.

 

What did you wrap it with? Pictures?

 

It's a vinyl wrap...basically the same as would be used on car panels to change color. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

 

 

It's a standard vinyl wrap, probably 3M or some similar brand. It's black in color, of course, with matte finish. I don't know any more details because I had it done when my car was in LA getting the supercharger put on by the guys at ESX. I had them set it up and I'm not sure which exact brand or installer they used.

Pretty much any shop that does wraps can do it, although they will likely have to take off the trim pieces to do it. Alternatively, you can buy a new set of trim and have it vinyl wrapped, then take your car to the dealer and ask them to swap out the trim.
