Clear wrap on Sills?

Has anyone one put clear film on either the N420 sills or V12 sills? The standard sill looks like they would be easy to wrap, but the other ones more challenging. I have my fenders, hood, and mirrors covered but did not do the sills. I kept the stock covering on rear fenders and the one part of the sill. Now that I am putting N420 sills, and once painted will need film added as a minimum on the rear portion as per the factory I am wondering if the entire sill should be covered?

I just had the sills, hood, front fenders, mirrors, A pillars, and rear fender flares wrapped in venture shield on my Vantage S. The whole sill was wrapped - I can see them getting pretty beat up if left exposed.

Wrapping the sills can be kind of a catch 22 thing. You want them protected from scuffs and such but wrapping them also makes them shiny & glossy which draws your attention to them when you open the door. Just FYI.

Thanks Dr. G! Those sills were definitely going to get beat up if not protected...hopefully your reunion was a good time

I believe he is referring to the outer sill (part below the doors), not the actual door sill. It is confusing isn't it?

I was referring to the area below the doors. We Americans would call them rocker panels but the Brits call them sills. The are available in three styles, standard, N420 (option on 2010 and later cars), and V12. You can buy them from Aston to up date the look of your car. I have thought of protecting the "door plates " or whatever they are properly called but thought it night look odd.
