Long Distance to Dealer

Just curious how people deal with taking their car for service when the dealer is not conveniently located? My car is due for its first annual service and a couple warranty fixes (headlining and B&O) though the closest dealer (Bellevue, WA) is nearly 300 miles away. I figure they’ll need it for at least a few days and I don’t relish the thought of driving back and forth (providing a suitable loaner is available or if I trailer it up).

When my Esprit was new and under warranty, the closest dealer was about 200 miles away. I used to send my car up to them on a flatbed tow truck and then get a one-way rental to pick up the car on the way back. The dealer would send someone to come pick me up at the rental car return.
