The error message engine coolant level low has come on a couple times the past 5 times i've driven the vehicle. First time it came on for about a minute then went off. Today it went on for a few seconds and off again.

Should i take it to the dealer? i still have warranty on the vehicle for a couple more months. Should i be concerned or is this a faulty message since it turns off quickly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Check the coolant level! It's just low and needs to filled back up. The light probably comes on and off because the level is right at the edge of where the sensor is.

 

Racer X is right. Check for any leaks too, the coolant reserviour likes to leak.

Add just a little Distilled Water--No coolant is necessary. A cup or less should do it.
