Don't believe these pictures. We'll find out what the new car will look like very soon—possibly as early as tomorrow.

BTW: what kind of BS statement is this:
"As much as it pains us to say it, the current core range from Aston Martin has grown a little stale." I never read anyone making the same statement about a 911/Boxter/Cayman and they have been making that same "stale" design for over half a century.

I think Aston's styling is go more in the direction of the Virage - with the tail-light cues coming from the 1/77

Almost looks like Chris Bangle's & Flame Surfacing is starting influence Design cues with the new Aston's . . .

The lights in the front end look a bit off to me, as does the ultra long side strake. However the latter could just be due to the photo because I liked the strakes on the Virages that were at my dealer and these seem similar.

I've read several comments like that. I here you on the 911, but the Aston design is getting a bit long in the tooth. And Clarkson rags on Porsche at every opportunity re: the 911. He calls their design team the "laziest designers in the world." I'm glad Aston is revamping things, although I'm not sure I like the pics I've seen so far.

I don't think Aston design is "long in the tooth" or "stale" at all. The cars remain utterly gorgeous, with clean shapes and perfect proportions. They have none of the trendy slashes and creases that I think will date many other current cars (although i fear they're heading in that direction). The only "problem" may be that since they've been around for a while, they've become somewhat familiar. Think about it -- if the current cars were just introduced now, they'd have just as much of an impact as they did when they were launched.
