Did a return drive from Toronto to Fla (unfortunately not w my Vantage) and was marveling at the amazing route along I-79 and I-77 through Virginia and West Virginia. I'm incredibly jealous of anyone with an Aston who has that in their 'backyard'.
Gorgeous sweeping curves rising and falling through the mountains, asphalt smooth as glass (almost through out), minimal traffic, not much police presence (at least when I blew through) and absolutely stunning terrain. Not to mention that the locals seem to get the whole 'left lane is just for passing' thing (unlike those in FL, GA, SC and NC, in my experience at least). Cruised through doing 85+ (er ++) pretty much the whole way.
It's a GT car playground. I'd have mine out every weekend if that was my turf. Oddly, I did not see any decent cars along the way. In fact I saw nothing remotely exotic for pretty much the entire 3000+ mile return trek. It was weird. Maybe the occasional P-car, I think that was it.
But what a stunning route! I'm doing the math and trying to figure out if I'd want to throw the 2000 km round trip on my odometer just to go and play through that area with the Vantage.

VA is the WORST place for driving ...the cops in the Commonwealth ar traffic *****! You get thrown in JAIL for excessive speedeg, anything above 80mph is wreckless driving...they can take away your license etc...and jailtime is commonplace there....
I went to college in VA...enough time spent there for me lol !! haha

Last I heard, in Fairfax County the unwritten rule is 1 day of jail time per 2mph over 90. I believe that contributes to Fairfax lawyers charging $1000 flat fee for handling reckless citations.
Reckless is also a misdemeanor here (maybe elsewhere as well, don't know), meaning it stays on your criminal record for 11 years.
...When I cross the border into VA I unplug my V1, then I drop to the exact speed limit and continue driving. I do not mess around in VA, period.
One caveat: if you are driving a pickup or towing with a pickup this does not apply....they'll leave you alone. I towed my race car at breakneck speeds with my big diesel cummins Dodge 2500 HD black smoke hufffin' n puffin' foot on the floor thumpin' along the highway...no problemo!
We have nice curvy road here too in Montreal, actually there straight roads with potholes..no I lie, there CANYONS!! Cars fall in and need cranes to have them removed..if that doesn't happen, maybe a overpass will fall down and you'll have to speed around, and maybe it'll flood and you will need to call on your Go-Go Gadget Floating Device!!(google it..montreal decarie flood, montreal overpass, montreal pothole)..driving here is like going through the set of "The Day After Tomorrow" during the end..you need pure skill to drive here, makes track racing easy!! Aston owners here all have a second set of mags just in case!!
LOL that's a pretty accurate description of Montreal roads. Believe it or not, there is actually one thing I like about driving in Montreal: people are predictable. Predictably aggressive and crazy, that is...
- like a little slice of Italy transplanted!

I lived in Montreal for four years when I went to med school. No worries, I remember the Decarie disasters (always make sure you get the sun roof option as an escape hatch) ... the fact that the worse the snow gets, the more crazy and aggressive Mtl drivers become ... and (no lie) that Mtl is the _only_ place in the world where I reflexively look both ways
before crossing a one way street (!)
Still, once you get out of the city, there are great roads through the mountains as well. Maybe I'll take a couple weeks some time and just drive my way down through the Appalachians in the Vantage. I'll be sure to bring bail money
