Have brake squeal since day 1. Dealer claims ceramic brakes have to get hot before they quiet down and has performed procedure numerous times that works for a couple days. Noise is embarrasing at traffic lights, and annoying to say the least. Any thoughts or comments ?

 

Dealer explanation is bogus, since plenty of them don't squeal.

 

The CCM brakes do mostly squeal, there the worst of them all, mainly if ran hard on a track which will get them dirty. They do need to heat up to work excellent, and will glaze up just like the regular cast brakes on the AM line if brakes are used soft. But there is a cleaning procedure for this, the response your dealer left you with is not correct..dealer should have taken the car in and taken care of the concern by verifying SB-06-0353, if brakes are bedded in correctly as per the SB-06-0353 then SB-06-0344 is to be carried out, this will get rid of the concern "if followed correctly"!!

 

I am not aggressive on my brakes and they don't make a peep. And they don't have to be hot. Simply put, they are as quiet as the quietest disc brakes I've ever had on any car. So, as I said, lots of owners have absolutely no noise issues, but some do (just like the vibration issue). Seems like it is a crap shoot. Don't let the dealer tell you they all do that...simply untrue.
