VantageV8 is infamous around these parts
Welcome! I'm a newbie to here too but had the car for a while. I live about 3 hours from the closest AM Dealer so that's what I do. Simple service done locally but anything that might require a bit more knowledge or expertise I go to the dealer....given your distance, I'm sure that can respect that decision.
Enjoy the Ride!!

Thanks Vantage.

I am enjoying the car very much. I am sold on Aston Martin.

Sorry I've not given an update in a while. From the looks of things you've got more important topics going.

Since you gave me this opportunity, I'll update.

After some research and some phone calls to my "local" AM dealer (four hours away) I decided to make it a weekend to Atlanta to get the TPMS resynched. Naturally my wife was more than happy to tag along to do some shopping. The folks there were great. Very friendly and very helpful. They were able to get the TPMS resynched and also gave the car a "once over." They were open to allowing someone more local to do the annual oil change. I am planning on doing this and making the drive for the major services (30k coming up). In fact I want to try purchase my next AM from them.

I do have one burning question...is the paint on all Astons easy to scuff? As a reminder I have a '08 carbon black and it seem everytime I take the factory cover off, I have managed to scuff a corner. Is this normal for all Astons or something indicative of the Carbon Black?

Even with all the "gremlins" I love this car.

I know you all have experienced this but I can't help but grin when I leave an upscale hotel or restaurant only to find the valets have proudly displayed the Aston for everyone to see.

BTW I did purchase the Porterfields just haven't taken the time to install.

I seem to have an unusual amount of stone chips on the rear quarter panels just in front of the rear wheels. I thoroughly inspected it prior to delivery (2800 miles from an AM dealer) and never noticed. After several washes they appeared so I'm guessing the dealer used something to hide. I'm thinking (hoping) these cars might chip easier? (My car is black)
Anyone else gave this experience?
