brake rotors?
CCM is different, you have no choice you have to do cross drilled because you cannot slot carbon rotors like you can steel rotors bc of the difference in material. More importantly, most CCM rotors are cross drilled have the same spider cracking problems that steel rotors do.
Either way cross drilling is bad and should be avoided at all costs. You are actually better running standard flat blank rotors than cross drilling in most cases.

Standard rotors are best in fact for longevitiy with respect to value and replacement cost...the whole purpose behind cross drilling blanks were to reduce unsprung wieght as a motorsport application where disc replacement occurs frequently, teams change rotors so often that drilling them only helped they were not run long enough to show full radial heat cracking. This went hand in hand with reducing wieght at the hub (the most important place on the assmebly as it's must stressed) and having to replace metal discs while re-using the hats so hence now you had 2 pc rotors, reducing the cost of replacementment and further reduction in unsprung mass again for racing. Slotting on discs provided for outgassing, this was helpful back when most pads used organic material....this is no longer needed since most all pads today are not of the same material...so you don't need slotted discs either... now onto Carbon Ceramic...tons of advantages, mainly very low rotating mass, and longevity since the material is able to undergo heat cycling so much better during prolonged periods of use. Again, NOT needed on a 2 ton road car.
main reason for all this blah blah blah on street cars....looks cool, more marketing, more money. Advantages some...sure...but on a heavy *** road car the rotors are the least of your worries...try starting first with addressing suspension geometry, roll centers, bump steer and ackerman.
just some thoughts...from an engineer...but who cares what you know nowadays, lower it, drop some 20's on and call it day!
Spoken like a true lambo driver! JK
[/QUOTE]Actually I'm looking at a Ferrari or Lambo as the next addition to the stable...I like the ones with cf braks though, CS, 430 or G Bicolore or Super trofeo...heck maybe an LP Murci ... but I will only take carbon brakes and they better be crossdrilled, I wanna go FAST!
