I didn't get much of a chance to experience the full 565HP. I only did one brief acceleration run because there was too much traffic (glad I don't live in Orlando). The engine did feel like it had a lot of torque.

I'm probably an oddball in this regard, but it made me appreciate my V8V more. The Vanquish is undoubtedly an extremely nice car, but it didn't feel like a car that was worth almost 3 times more than mine. I think I'm biased by the fact that the Vanquish is an automatic—which seems a bit boring to me. I'm looking forward to a revised Vantage in a couple of years, or maybe I'll upgrade to a V12V which seems may suit me better.
So much more stunning in person than any pics. But why they keep piling up white Astons is beyond me. To its credit, the Vanquish looks great in white and the damn feels perfectly organic to the form.

Strangely, Bill didn't invite me to drive it when I stopped by on Friday. So I drove the crap out of my very own Aston all weekend and loved it more than ever.

So, Karl, when next you come to the crowded streets of 'lando, shoot me a PM and we'll go motoring about or something.

Strange. I walked into the dealership Saturday and Bill was in his office. I stopped by to say hi. Without me asking, he grabbed the ECU from his desk and led me outside. He opened up the car and handed me the key.

Don't know why he wouldn't have done the same for you. Did you buy your car from them as well? I'm at the dealership quite often since I'm friends with several of their staff. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Probably would have been different if I'd bought from them.
Bill did his level best to sell me a silver '08 but it just wasn't the one I wanted. So I bought mine from CA.
Philip tried to get me to look at an Evora instead but a man who wants an Aston is a man who wants an Aston. I like those guys and I'd love to have that Bitter Chocolate interior'd Volante, but I'm all full up on Astons for the year.

But a couple of years from now...that Vanquish just might...
