A Toyota wouldn't have this problem because a Toyota wouldn't have leather.

Yes, like any other commodity, there are various grades of hide and tanning methods that yield the level of quality in a product. After this, the level of finish is dependent upon the person whom selects the hides and the seamstress & upholsters ability to work the hides onto the seat.

I have a feeling AM would never let a seat in this condition leave the factory, and it is that it is something which took place between shipping and delivery - or someone at the dealer had a complete lard butt sit in the car which exposed a hidden craft defect.

That's not caused by sitting on it. It either left the factory like that OR it was exposed to saturated water damage where some water was left to puddle there for several hours. Its not 'fixable' other than replacing the lower seat cushion cover.

I'll pitch in here as I had the same experience last year
My passenger side light weight seat had EXACTLY the same in the middle between the shoulders

The dealer got a local auto upholsterer to fit a new cover from the factory. (8 weeks lead time )

That was worse as the fitter ****ed it up

It ended up with a brand new seat being shipped from the factory and inspected by the factory senior tech and I before it was fitted

It was a fight but worth it.

BTW

When you do the factory tour Aston make a BIG deal that they buy their leather from Bridge of Weir and both make a BIG noise about the quality of it

Why even involve the dealer at this point? They seem to be punting the problem off on the factory as a commonality.
Take your pictures, put them in a letter or attach them to an email and send them to AMUSA and ask them if this is common and normal. Make sure to note the dealer and the customer manager whom told you this, and that you should accept your vehicle in this condition and be quite pleased with it.

My seats were perfect on my V12V when I purchased it last October.
I currently have 1500 km (900 miles) on it, and it has just started to show wrinkles. The wrinkles are soft, and disappear with just a little bit of palm pressure.
My butt isn't that big (I'm 160 lbs.); I think that softer, high end, top grain leathers tend to stretch a little easier just like expensive Italian shoes.
That little bit of stretch is what creates the wrinkles when pressure is not applied to the seats.
Now if the leather is hard & crusty, I would worry. Other than that, I think this is just a natural part of the leather process.
I wouldn't sweat it, the heavier cheaper leathers will crack instead of wrinkle.
But that's just my .02

I have similar wrinkles on my driver's seat but it's hard to see in black. The red leather definitely makes it more noticeable. I've always thought it was natural from sitting...don't they always wrinkle with time? however, if you have not taken delivery of the car, you should make them change it.

Thank you for all your replies. Many appreciations on your comments.

At this moment, the dealer has agree to refund all the money i paid.
We will have to wait for the paper works.

My vantage has an area with wrinkles, collie seems to think it has something to do with water, not so. It's the Bridge of Weir tanning process. It's no big deal, drive it and love it.

+1 get the dealer to send a report to the factory and I think the only solution would be a new seat cover, the only problem is they are never a perfect fit, but better than what your image shows and very good if properly fitted. I had a new cover on a previous Roadster.

I just picked up my DB9 last week and the seats are tan. Yes, both front seats have some wrinkles. Also, every Aston in the showroom ( all 11 of them) were exactly the same.
I think it is done on purpose to allow some stretch in the leather because it is so soft. The service department and entire dealership said that all of their Aston come in like this.

I sure hope it is normal!
