V12 Vantage S teaser
OK. Pretty sure it was sold by AM of Austin Texas. I was very surprised to see it here in the USA. Call them and ask.
I think it's this car.

Update: I knew I can find it. It is SP10.

That car is badass. Thanks you didn't have to go to that effort. I'm glad to see that car here. May be we will get the V12S.
I understand all of the reasons that cars don't come here. I can't help but feel left out as an avid customer. If the V12VR would have come here, I may be driving on instead do the 12C.

Attended a local event today with the AM marketing guys. They have very little info on this new V12S as well.
To me I felt we are shortchanged on the 2011/2012 V12V especially the lack of lighter recaro sport seats which the ROW had. The marketing person said it was a homologation issue. Though how did Porsche manage with theirs?

Very interesting, I hope so, that would be the ultimate Aston vantage IMO. The current V12 just does not have enough top end, and if they mate the engine to the new 7speed graziano sequential in the vantageS that would be awesome. I hope they don't mate it to the auto sportshift as in the other V12s.
Older V12s may be a bargain soon if this new one really does come out

I totally understand why manufacturers are going with paddle shift only... But it would really be mind boggling if this next v12v was asm only (without a manual option)... They obviously did well with the v12v and v12vR and one of the most well received features of the line was a v12 mated to a manual box. I would also understand it if they were trying to sell a lot more units, but the v12v is not a high unit sales generator almost by definition. Hoping that the auto box will just be an option...
Over the weekend, I attended an AM event here in So Cal. Had a talk with one of the AM guys. He mentioned it's under tight wraps but casually said this variant was tested at Nürburgring race recently.
In tracing that race, we go to the very recent ADAC 24-hr race Nürburgring. AM brought out 3 cars: 2 V12 GT3 and 1 Rapide H2 car.
Focusing on the 2 V12 GT3, there's this Bilstein sponsor race car. This is in the SP9 class restricted to 550hp.

And this N24 inspired V12 GT3, in SP8 class, restricted to factory 510hp.

Here's an excerpt from press:
The third car in the line up (referring to the yellow one) is a V12 Vantage in close-to-production specification, modified to satisfy the N24 regulations.
Read it here:

The V12 engine is limited to 510hp or 550hp due to race regulations but capable of up to 600hp. I would imagine this extreme V12 will have the performance limit removed?
My guess is...during practice or something, they ran the N24 inspired V12 GT3 with a different ECU that produces more hp just to gather data. OR they logged the data from the Bilstein V12 GT3 since it was already running 550hp.
Either way, tomorrow is a very exciting day!

I have been told by many connected to Aston that none of the paddle shifted boxes (auto or automated manual) will fit in the Vantage chassis. I don't want anything except a MT, but have been pretty curious because I believe they would sell many more V8V roadsters to women if the car had a true automatic. Just my humble opinion.
It makes sense to go paddle shift, especially on an Aston Martin where most of the customer base does not drive stick (present forum members not included of course). All the OEMs are doing it and as long as they improve the shifting I agree with the decisio. Wholeheartedly.
A new V12 with 565hp and paddle shift will greatly close the performance gap in modern times and help minimize it's disadvantage to other manufacturers. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't upgrade the 7speed graziano unit from the v8vS to give even better shifting and gas mileage characteristics
