I have the premium system in my 2007 V8 Vantage. It is a very good system. I have driven a number of Aston models with the B&O system (including a certain lightning silver V8 Vantage) and don't think it is any better than the premium system. I would never pay the extra money in a new car and wouldn't pay anything extra for it in a used car. The extra "lump in the trunk" is undesirable to me as well.

Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not YOU want to pay for it.
Good luck.
I have had both in the two Vantages I have owned. For the money, the premium system is the way to go. When I first listened to the premium in my old Vantage, I was very pleasantly surprised.
The B&O sounds fantastic and has the "cool" factor but I'd be lying if I said there was a significant difference up from the Premium ... certainly not $7k worth.

One thing perhaps worth noting: Many of us with Vantages say the premium system (Alpine, I believe) is comparable to the B&O, so the B&O isn't worth the extra money. However, in a long-wheelbase AM, perhaps the B&O is worth the extra?
I have it in my Rapide - it does sound fantastic in my opinion - looks great too. Having said that - I often prefer to listen to the sound of the Rapide than music - but I am happy that I have it.
As soon as I get to know 3 more people I would like to have a Rapide........
i think that's what it really boils down to. for a Vantage, the B&O system is an exercise in diminishing returns. but for a DB9/DBS/Virage, maybe there's a bit more difference.

Here is a link to pictures of a Vantage with the B&O system. One of the later pictures shows the trunk. Notice the uneven upper area of the trunk. I believe this is for the B&O amplifier.

Golf clubs definitely still fit. Although I love the b&o system, I honestly don't listen to it much so would never have checked that box as an option. If it were a daily driver, I would recommend it. However, as a third fun car, I much prefer the car's glorious natural soundtrack.
Henry, thanks kindly for taking the time. I did search cars for sale but did not find the pic. Helps alot. Loss is not that much, esp. if it does not involve the main trunk cavity. Not much fits up on the that shelf anyway.

btw, how does the flame orange differ from the madagascar orange?
Flame orange is a lot more red than Madagascar orange. Indoors it's hard to tell its even orange. In sunlight the orange really pops, making it a very distinct color. Can't go wrong with either though.
I did the same a while back, it will far and away exceed anything offered stock though, you will be very happy!!
