Manifolds, ECU Tune, 100 Cell Secondary Catalysts + Performance Filters will be $7495.00.
Stuart, what is the price for the SS silencer/muffler? Also, what is the total expected weight savings with this setup?

This particular set are in Stainless. Inconel of course will be available as is the case for all of our parts.

The removal of the primary cats will increase the volume substantially, especially coupled with the high flow secondaries, which I recommend installing. For some people, the increase in volume will be welcomed and enjoyed. We have the ability to reprogram the exhaust valves to open & close at different points to the factory settings so we may need to make some small adjustments for those customers who just want a little tweaking.

For those who find the setup to be substantively louder to the point that it is unpleasant for their needs, we have a few solutions. The first and most simple is that the secondary catalysts can be produced with an adjoined silencer/resonator on each part. This should introduce a fair amount of silencing and I anticipate will achieve an overall increase in sound level but one which is enjoyable and acceptable to the majority of owners. We will look at cost options for this solution, but I would not expect the additional cost to be significant.

The second option is that we look at silencer replacement. For example, our exhaust setups for Supersports, Sports and Touring have 3", 4.5" and 6" respectively of perforated steel in each transverse pipe going through the muffler. If you look at the overall muffler width, there is room there to add up substantial amounts of additional perforation, perhaps as much as another 15-20 inches. So in effect, over-silenced exhaust systems can also be created to provide additional silencing if required. However, as you are no doubt aware, sound is something which is highly subjective, so one person's idea of too loud is another person's idea of not loud enough.

Hopefully as these start to roll out on more & more cars we can start to establish a critical mass of reviews & opinions that allow owners to make educated decisions that suit their needs and preferences.

Weights I am awaiting (sorry, couldn't resist.) But suffice it to say, just from looking at the OEM part next to the Velocity part I think that we should see a nice reduction there.

Our regular pricing is $2495.00, but if someone is purchasing a full performance package from us, they will not be paying full price for the exhaust system. Much the same as our V8 Vantage packages.

Total weight savings with stainless throughout I'm not 100% certain yet. The exhaust typically drops close to 30lbs, and the catalysts I believe around 8 or 9lbs. So if we were to see 15 or 20lbs reduction from the manifolds you would be somewhere around 55-60lbs I would guess. I'm waiting for the guys to get back to me with some facts & figures.

Sounds good. And you were guestimating a power increase of around 45 bhp?

I would be pleased with that, yes. I think at least 40. Although I think hopefully the biggest differences will be mid-range torque (I'd like to see a perceptive '1-gear' difference in the mid-range) and the top-end HP. I think it has been proven by BR in the UK that the V12 cars are choked off by the manifolds at the top end, and the BHP actually drops off there. So the difference in the upper ranges of the RPM band could be much larger than the 40 or so we're hoping to see.

We are taking a car to an independent dyno for before & after testing so we should have some good data to work from soon. There will likely be a couple of changes to the production part as well. As you can see, this set has no locations for the factory heat shields. The customer has elected to ceramic coat the manifolds instead. We will probably offer them with the head shield locations in the future.

We're also considering a slight change to accommodate a 2-piece setup for ease of installation.

Stuart, in addition to the dyno runs, can you guys do before and after decibel measurements to give us an idea of sound increase? Video clips help, but it's still difficult to really understand how much louder a car is after modification from such clips. As I'm sure you know, you can get a decent decibel meter for under $100.

That is a great idea, going to get cracking on that for certain.

Just got the chance to weigh these suckers... OEM manifolds weigh 25lbs each. These Velocity units weigh 15lbs each, so total weight reduction IRO 20lbs.

Thank-you!!! These are available for and will fit all the Gaydon era V12 Astons, including the new Vanquish. (DB9, DBS, Virage, V12V) The old Vanquish is a different setup.

I had hoped to 'officially' release these by now, but one of our fellow 6speeders who was committed to being the Guinea Pig had to bow out due to an unfortunate turn of poor health. I wish him all the best, and I hope we'll see him back posting here soon.

In the meantime, another owner has stepped forward, and we should have all the final data available within the next 2 weeks.
