To be clear, are you saying that you got new shims from the dealer, or just the rubberized isolator pads?, If the latter, then no, your steps are incorrect.

Here are the steps from Aston's Service Bulletin SB0243V3:

Issue
Brake squeal under light to medium braking, usually at lower speeds.
Based on individual customer usage, always reuse the existing foundation brake pads unless they will not reach the next routine maintenance service, in which case new disc pads (material only) are chargeable to the customer.

Following the fitment of any new brake pads with isolators, ensure the brake pads are properly bedded in (see SB0151).
Note: The procedure detailed below must only be carried out on a customer complaint basis, and must be done as a complete vehicle set regardless of whether the squeal is front or rear.
Procedure
1. Remove the brake pads as required.
2. Deglaze the friction material surfaces and then clean using brake cleaner.
3. Radius the leading edges of the pads.
4. Apply a proprietary “brake paste” to the brake pad metal top and bottom edges, where the pad slides into the caliper.
5. Fit one of the sticky backed isolators to each of the pads, adhesive side to the steel shim (see Fig 1).

Note: When fitting the isolators to the rear Brake Pads they will require trimming to fit. Remove any excess isolator material protruding over the lower edge of the Brake Pad.
6. Lightly deglaze the brake disc surface and then clean using brake cleaner.
7. Refit the pads.
8. Road test the car to confirm that brake squeal is eliminated.

Thank you KF! I installed both front and rear pads with Porterfield R4-S over the weekend. Reused the OE shims by removing the new shims came with the new pads. applied permatex on both side of the shims and didn't break the brake sensor cables.

Result is pure quietness! would like to give you another rep point but the system won't allow.

I wish I had your experience. I am on my second set, rears, and they will not seat. I have experience in this dept. and have had no problem in my other cars. Also, The squeal and vibration are so profound abs is malfunctioning. I hope this unique to me and others don't experience this. Really disappointed

It took my yellow pads a month of hard driving to bed in. I also filed off the edges all around the pads and used lots of wurths brake paste.
