Has anyone put a V8VS muffler on a standard 4.7 and how did it sound?
SubscribeI love the way the V8VS sounds- louder than my '13 V8V but not too loud. From what I have read the N420 muffler (the optional sport exhaust available from AML) is a little louder than the S and may be too loud for what I am trying to accomplish. If you get a V8VS muffler and install it only with the rest of the exhaust standard (no 200 cell cats, same headers etc) how close does it sound to the V8VS? I would think very similar but I have read about different headers etc on a V8VS that might affect the sound. Anyone with any experience along these lines?
I'm presuming you read all this

I've been looking into secondary cat change out to bypass and leaving the stock rear box. I've heard a wide range of comments regarding sound enhancement for the DB9-V12. Still have not made up my mind. If anyone has first hand info or thoughts it would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have added the V8VS exhaust to my 2009 Vantage. It sound much better, but without a drone and is not obnoxious. I do not think I would want anything much louder.
I have a switch on the bypass valve so I can have it "loud" all the time. Sometimes though I like the ability to have it quieter on occasion.
