I am in the process of replacing a headlight assembly. Now I need to know which headlight type my car has. Can anyone show me pics or tell me how I can tell the difference between HID vs Halogen?

My car auto levels the beam, the beam seems quite blue white in color and from different angles looks purple-ish. I want to say this means I have the HID style... Is this correct? I need to order the replacement right away and I want to make sure I am getting the right one. Looking for any help in an easy way to know the difference without pulling the car apart to find out for sure.

Yes, it sounds like you have HID headlights.

 

HID, Halogen's dont' have the self-level feature.
