sinch'ing BlueTooth in the AM vantage '06
sinch'ing BlueTooth in the AM vantage '06
I have an iphone 5 and followed the synching instructions.
pushed the button on the steering wheel and it said "turn your phone to scan and when it asks you for a code, punch in 1,2,3,4.".
So, the phone shows the aston Martin on the Bluetooth list, I tap it, and then before I can put the code in, it says , "blue tooth connection failed". THEN, the request for the code comes up. I put it in (the 1,2,3,4 ) and it fails again.
I don't think it should be that hard.
any suggestions?

I had no problems with my iPhone5 pairing to my 07 V8V. Make sure you have a clean re-boot on the iPhone, sometimes Apple phones get a little funky inside when they've not been re-booted in a long time. Power the phone all the way off and then back on and try it again.
Try this, it worked for me.
Put the iphone Bluetooth into search mode
Tell the car - Pair phone
Car tells you to put phone into search mode and then type 1 2 3 4 as the bluetooth code.
Phone will see the car - will list as Aston Martin. Put code in
It will then fail! Car says pairing failed.
But you now have the iphone recognising the Aston Martin bluetooth, so on the phone, select "Aston Martin" on the bluetooth menu. It will bring up the boxes to put in the passcode. Put in 1 2 3 4, but do NOT press pair on the phone yet.
Tell the car - pair phone. Then immediatley press the Pair button (top right) on the phone.
Should then pair straght away.
Checked and phone is always then recognised on startup
