Well, never is a bit strong , I agree, but a skilled foot can really help with any overheating that an unskilled foot might run into. yes, cooling for big heavy street cars is not adequate, normally, but im talking about 20mins on the track, and that's all you should be doing with a street car anyway. (also track dependent)
they will get hot, but its the management of the heat im talking about.
wheel bearings and calipers can handle the heat, after all , the brembos are racing parts. pads might not be, and that could be a big issue. the common street pad when really hot, loses stopping power and just creates a lot of heat when abused over their limits.
