- New V2 Tune for 4.3L Vantage, More Power! -
#47
As my Vantage is the 46th one produced in 2005 it has the uprated internals from the older Vanquish I believe. So going 7800 is something I am confident of. For me I will be glad to finally use the 3 rev limiter lights without it being too late to inform.

The 4.7L eurocharged redline is 7600rpm and you probably shouldn't increase it more than that. The 4.3L bottom end can handle a lot more Rpm due to its significantly shorter stroke.
Yes, the stock shift lights are finally useful thanks to the higher Rpm redline. Once you see the third light you have a few hundred more Rpm to make the shift. Why in the world they put the shift light so late on the stock tune is beyond me but now it's perfect.

Just heard from Jerry at Eurocharged. Based on my car with no mods and located in California with its crappy max 91 octane fuel, the tune should produce an additional 27WHP and 29WTRQ. I would be very pleased with those results!

Jyeat,
Awesome, yeah the 4.7Ls left less on the table as far as tuning potential so you will never make as much from a tune as the 4.3L tune simply because Aston did not sandbag the 4.7 nearly as badly from the factory. With that said, those are still very strong numbers and with a few more mods should put you in V12 territory.
Adjusted by 18% drivetrain losses that equals 33hp & 35tq at the crankshaft, definitely some very healthy numbers

The dyno results posted were not independent as we would like to see...they were in fact promotional material from a non sponsor and they have been removed...if you want them anyway I'm sure you can secure them from the OP

Awesome, glad to see Eurocharged on the forum.
Now no other sponsors can limit freedoms of speech and try to filter other competing products. Free and open informatiôn is the key cornerstone of any automobile forum!

That's not how my thinking goes, but let's recognise that the forum is run as a business and has to make profit to survive

Just my 2 cents but I have to say this is one of my favourite forums

Im loving the remap.

Yes profit is good and required but if the business model depends on open an fair debate and discussion and this is curtailed then the very business itself risks loosing its usefulness to its readers or 'customers'. And hence the profit can be reduced if people migrate to other forums or 'businesses'.

either way, no longer an issue anymore thankfully.

Finally, the fixed dyno charts! Thanks for uploading the dyno charts. Definitely looks much better without all the spikes due to the faulty sensor.
I am really curious to see Vergis results as well. Not sure the gains will be quite as high given how he's already done most of the possible mods (not as much left on the table compared to a stock tune), but I am sure it will still be very healthy gains
I can't wait to stop by for some added tweaks in the near future for my newer mods coming up
