Quicksilver, RSC, Paramount Exhaust systems
Quicksilver, RSC, Paramount Exhaust systems
I have notice there are several different aftermarket exhaust systems for Astons. Wanted to see what your guys thoughts are on the different systems and which brand you guys prefer best.
Also i wanted to confirm that having fuse 22 removed with a aftermarket exhaust system does not make a difference because the aftermarket system does not have the vacuum valve system inside the muffler

Hi jyu12,
If you want my two cents i run a QuickSilver system on my 996 C4 and love it.
I'm aware they have some really good systems for Astons, and there are lots of videos on YouTube where you can hear them in action, here's a nice DBS system let loose.
Can't tell you about the valve for sure but i would imagine there is no valve in an aftermarket set-up so the fuse become redundant anyway.
Hope that helps
Joel

On the fuse 22, you are correct, once you go after market, you are done with it. I have the Velocity AP touring edition, it is pretty much the same as the RSC exhaust. I like it, it is a little louder than the oem version but a pretty cool note. Under 3000rpm it will definitely be louder than the oem. After that, it's music to your ears. A friend has the quicksilver on his v8v, he likes but it is louder than mine with a notable depth, but sounds good. A little too much for me personally, especially with a roadster.
I also have cats and headers as well so everything is accentuated from a sound perspective.

I've got RSC cats and exhaust. Like jmargolese said, RSC and Velocity AP are pretty much the same (unless Stuart has changed things since standing up Velocity).
I get compliments all the time on the way my car sounds, especially from 911 owners hahaha
Here's a crappy-quality video I took at a track. It's the built-in mic of a GoPro 2 so the sound isn't great, but you get the idea.
