MB to buy AM?
I will reserve my judgement, whatever that's worth, until it happens. It will come down to the level of overlap between the two that will likely determine success. Ford did right by Aston, to be sure. MB didn't do well with Chrysler, but Fiat is. Very different scenarios to dissect appropriately.
And I don't believe that Tata has ruined Jag or Land Rover either, still very British and yet very modern. They are a very different company than MB, but hopefully the outcome would be the same were the companies to join.
See what I did there? I went with that oh-so-British sense of optimism for the whole deal.
Cheers

I will admit that my wife decided on the older XJ (2006 Super V8), because of that classic look. But the new XFR and XJ were both very impressive.
And to bring it back on topic, if Tata builds what they do and did that well with Jag and LR, then we should expect nothing less from MB.

GMTA! My garage is about to be upended in the summer/fall with my first Porsche and new LR! Depends on when they finish the motor replacements. I'm next on the list for a GT3 and #2 for a GT3RS so who knows which Porsche it will be or when....
yes they are!
Doubt it.
Hope I'm proved wrong.
