Hey guys, most of you here know me as an Aston Martin guy, but I also love to drive cars on the track.

I'm for sure no expert, but I have decided to chronicle my first year taking driving at the track seriously.

I've been the guy (not a kid any more) in the Subaru many times! I've had two tuned 400 HP/TQ STI's that kept up with and often beat much more expensive and more powerful cars on the track. I would even leave my 911 Turbo at home half the time and use the Subaru instead for track days because the STI is such a great track car. After all, it is the car Subaru uses for rally racing, so it really is a race car for the street! I would often get passed on the straights since the aerodynamics of the Subaru were like the side of a barn so trying to go over 100 mph felt like trying to push a piano with your pinkie, but in the corners it would easily keep up with and often beat any other car out there. Plus they're much easier to drive fast than many other cars, with predictable behavior approaching and at the limits, so you could really push it hard and not have to worry about it suddenly spinning out or surprising you.
