Wheel offset question.
Wheel offset question.
I've been having a hard time finding aftermarket wheels for my 06 DB9 in the local wheel store. I've been finding a quick a bit of wheels online but am afraid to order because I fear they won't fit because of the huge calipers. When I plug in the year/make/model info +38mm (front) and +40mm (rear) seems to be common. Can I assume ANY rim (19" or 20") with these offsets will work for my car?
call a reputable wheel guy and see what they suggest ....

HRE offsets are legit, Forgestars run a little lower offset to clear the calipers, but HREs have more caliper clearance so you can run a more ideal offset (granted they cost 3x the price)

Wow! Yes, they are pretty pricey. A little out of my price range. But thank you for the input.
The reason you can't just assume that the offsets of any wheel in a particular size will fit, is the depth or amount of concavity of the wheel. The calipers are very big on our cars(although I have a vantage, the DB9 has the same calipers) and they will interfere with the spokes of a wheel that has a shallow hub center. Then you will need a spacer to move the wheel away from the caliper. I have 20"X 10" wide rears with a 40 offset, however since the wheel has a big lip, the hub was almost flat and thus, the caliper hit the spokes. I had to add a 13mm spacer to clear the rear wheel spokes. It is a bit of math to figure out what will fit properly, and can be done with a much less expensive reputable wheel. Mine are TSW wheels and were very reasonably priced even with the spacers that I had custom machined for me. PM me for more details if you would like more direction.

Let me provide some more detailed insight. I'm currently on 20" HRE P101's wheels (diameter is not the issue) with the following width/offset setup:
Fronts: 9", +35 Offset
Rears: 11" +47 Offset

I am currently lowered and with the above setup, I'm "flush" with the fender line of the car.
The two factors you really need to consider is Width and Offset. The Vantage (V8, V8VS, V12V) has various OEM widths anywhere between 8.5" for the front, to 9.5"-11" for the rear. Reference my contributions in this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...at-offset.html
Provide the wheels specifications that Verde Parallex provided you (diameter, width and offset) and I can let you know what you should expect regarding fitment.
Good luck.
